North America Country Music Associations, Int'l
The North America Country Music Associations, Int'l was formed May 17, 1997, by Peggy Franck, "to promote the development of the Country/Gospel Music Industry in each state and country through an International Association to promote and inform members of the industry and the public about resources available in the various states and countries for Country/Gospel Music production." This can be accomplished by bringing together the various State/International Country Music Associations and/or Foundations in an organized method. It also allows for the participation on a State and International level to promote Country/Gospel Music. It is a Tennessee chartered 501(c)3 Section 509(a)2 non-profit country music association.

The New England Country Music Organization (NECMO) is a non-profit, all volunteer organization that was established in 2006 for the purpose of educating, promoting, and preserving the enjoyment and continuing advancement of gospel, bluegrass, and country music and dance while continuing to nurture the development of talent. By following this grass root philosophy, individuals and groups can unleash their potential as artists in their respective field of entertainment. Integrity and fairness is the foundation by which the New England Country Music Organization was founded and will continue throughout its entire existence.

The Townsend Activity Committee recently held Old Home Day on Sept. 20,2008 and will be having several other fund raising events to help fund the Atwood Cuties' Fireworks. February 21,2009 will be the WinterGala at the Townsend Ridge Country Club, and the Indian Hills Big band will be comming back to Townsend March 28,2009 (details TBD)
